Movie Update
Im sure many of you have been on edge waiting for the release of the Beach 2004 Recap video. You will be glad to hear that the movie is now completed and the only thing hindering its debut is the file size of the movie. Upon completion, Mike and I were surprised at the length of the movie, seeing how it has doubled our first project, "The Lazo Video 2003" (8 min). For those of you who can't add, that is 16 minutes!! I am predicting that the movie size is well over 1 Gig and that poses a problem when trying to upload it to the internet so all you can view it. So please continue to be patient for the time being and I will let you know when a good time is to view the final product. You will not be dissapointed!

And so it has been months since my last update I know... but if I kept updating this site, it would just be so expectant and therefore would not cause any sense of excitement within you. With that being said, updating my blogspot today has probably instilled some sense of exhilaration and so continues the entry.
For all who have witnessed the title"The Lazo Video" aka. "Beach Week Recap 2003" are well aware of the wacky outtakes, insane stunts, shit acting, and pop culture parodies. Some may have been lucky enough to see parts of the second installment, which was in the works during the summer of 2005. That movie however had not been finished and infuriated its creators Michael Chin and yours truly. We attempted to work on it during winter break but that never happened.
This summer... the summer of 2006 WILL bring you that video! Under the working title "Booby Abreu", the creators will finally bring you a recap of the 2004 beach week! A little late we know, but the first video was too much fun.
Exclusively here on Hokie Stories, a 3 minute preview of the beginning of the movie is at your disposal. The video didn't save that great so the audio synching isn't perfect, but you will get the jist and I will resolve it for the final product. Enjoy the beginning!!

Happy 2006!! I love how you can always expect a blog entry from me like within the first week of the new year. It has however been a very busy winter break for me. And yes, by busy I do mean sleeping. Don't worry though, I did fit in time to hang out with friends and decorate the christmas tree and all that good stuff. I received a gift from my grandmother which has perplexed me ever since; the movie Jackass. Now... am I supposed to take this as, maybe she got lucky and knew I enjoyed the movie? Or maybe it was just a cruel joke! Who knows, I laughed at it (the situation AND the movie) anyway.
It has been a movie filled winter break as well. It started off with the first season of Family Guy (courtesy of Esin), King Kong, Serenity, 40 year old virgin (3 times), Wedding Crashers (3 times), and Munich. It's good that I am getting all this movie time in because come this semester I won't have much time to do anything else but work!
Well, as most of you know, I am what they call a night owl (one who stays up late at night, such as this night whereas it is 4:45 in the am), and since there wasn't anyone online or rather anything to do, I decided to clean up the pictures I have on my computer (tons!). Again, those of you who know me know that I take tons of pictures in a span of like 5 minutes. Thus, I have tons of pictures, many not needing to be saved for future viewing. It was really nice however taking a trip down memory lane for a few of them. Remembering the laughs, as well as the sadness of some. Well, considering no one takes pictures of "sad times," the pictures themselves were not necessarily sad, just the fact that the relationship with these particular people now is not how it was in that moment of time. But that is the beauty of photos, because for that particular moment you could have been in bliss and now no one can mess with it! Ok enough of the sap. It has definitely cleared up a lot of space on the ol' computer though, which I definitely need.
Oh! New Years! I hope everyone had a great new years wherever you were and that you got nice and wasted :). I spent my new years with the Hokie Crew (Sarah, Dan, Esin, Nestor) and honorary member for the evening Kevin. I find its always nice to have a nice little party with some of your closest friends. You also don't have to wait in line to get drinks! Anyway, at midnight we did the traditional toast with champagne. It was a fun-filled night full of drinking games and beer pong! If you watched that video link, you were able to see everyone a bit tipsy. Drunk Nestor is always fun to listen to! After the toast, we got right into another game of pong. The teams were Kevin and Esin vs. Nestor and Sarah. What we all wanted to know was who was going to get the first cup of 2006?! Answer here. And congratulations to you on your fine shot! Well, after all that beer, vodka, and rum jello shots, everyone started filing out until it was down to Esin, Nestor, and me (thanks to Esin we had at least 60 some jello shots. 20 of them were downed during the night). We just sat around the table getting into some heavy discussions all the while realizing that those jello shots needed to go. Esin had a couple with us and went to bed. By the time I went to bed I counted 30 cups between Nestor and I meaning, for those of you who aren't too bright in math, that we each took 15 shots within an hour. Least to say, I passed out easily that night :).
The next morning I was awoken to the vibrations of my cell phone. God, my head was throbbing! OH NO! I was supposed to escort my friend to her sister's wedding!! 10 am and I could not get out of bed for the life of me. If you are reading this now, I am SO sorry, I could barely walk that day. I was still woozy as I drove back to Arlington as well. After dropping Esin off at her house, I went back to mine and went straight to bed. I was hurting way too much to search for aspirin, so I decided a good sleep would kill it. Well, I was wrong as I woke up to find my head still aching. Thinking that all that was in my stomach at that point was alcohol it would be best if I got some food in my stomach. I decided to fight the pain and go upstairs and make something. It did help some and I felt 90% better towards the end of the Redskins game. Having them beat the Eagles definitely helped my head :).
Oh man, now it is 6 in the morning! Thanks to the slow internet and cutting up the videos above, this entry took me a good hour and a half!! Hope you all enjoyed the entry! Look forward to more!

I have received several complaints that I don't update my site as often as it should be updated. Well, now that I have some time (it being thanksgiving break and all), updating does not sound like a bad idea.
I was checking out the history of this blog, and all the entries I have made since freshman year. Some seem quite funny now that I read them, and some so sad. Today will be the day I revisit some old moments and reflect.
January 12th
Haha, seems back then I was really considering writing an autobiography!! I have no clue why I even had the idea of writing one. I don't know how interesting that would be, or if anyone would even want to read it, lol.
March 2004
Oh do I remember the days I used to leave Video Messages for you guys. It was an exciting time having my own video camera... Hell, I still have exciting adventures with it!
OH! Before I forget, I had the wildest dream last night! Now check yo-self before you wreck yo-self, here it goes... So i'm at some sporting event with my mom and brother and we were on the top row of the bleachers. All of a sudden, we feel a slight rumble. At first we thought nothing of it. A couple seconds later, it happened again but this time more fierce than the last. Turns out it was an earthquake! The bleachers started rattling and started sinking into the ground, about to topple over, but with my sweet moves I jumped off right before it crashed and landed ok. (My skills are awesome). Anyway, so we get off and the ground starts to split! Oh no! I try to find a piece of land where I think it won't split. But stupid me! I find ground that starts to split! All of the sudden, I am on a little island it seems like of land and everyone else has been split too far away for me to get there. I couldn't jump, or else I'd fall into the depths of wherever it is I'd end up. If i knew it was a dream, I could have just flew out of there, but no. It felt too real to be a dream. Oh no! the base of what I was standing on was getting thin and was about to topple over! It cracked! I'm tilting! About to fall into the abyss! Luckily I'm so cool i did an awesome flip in the last second and flipped onto normal land. As I walked away, I looked back towards the stadium. They were putting the bleachers back up with people still on it (weird...) A couple minutes later, they fell again! HAHAHA! I just laughed at them as I woke up.
So there you have it. Wow, I completely detered off track there didn't I...

Well well well... I have not been keeping all of you up to date on things now have I? It seems that I wait until my birthday to start writing again every year, and this year will not be different!
First and foremost I would like to thank Mike, creator of The Warning Sign, for composing the beautiful banner you see up top. I have recently grown very fond of Rachel McAdams ever since seeing most of her recent movies. Now, since Lindsay Lohan has decided to go psycho on me and bleach her hair and look like a skeleton, I'm sorry to say but... I am over you Lindsay. I'm sorry, I've moved on to hotter and more healthier women like Rachel McAdams . You may remember her from such films as Mean Girls and Wedding Crashers. But enough of that.
Now we're gonna get back to my life! Exciting stuff! I know you can hardly contain yourself right now, but GET A HOLD ON YOURSELF MAN! (or woman, if you are of the female type reading this). Anyway, so yeah, my birthday was today! Well technically yesterday, but... whatever. I was awoken this morning by the singing of happy birthday from my good friends Holly, Christina, and my roommate Berger. What an awesome surprise! My mom used to wake me on my birthdays when i was younger with a cupcake and a little candle on it, and my friends come in with 20 cupcakes! Little did I know that my mom had planned this within the past 2 weeks! It was a nice surprise, and so started my birthday!
Let's see... for presents I received... a hug and cupcakes from Holly, a hug from Christina, Berger got me this Hokie ACC Champions banner thing, and my good friend Mike Chin decorated the banner you see above on this page! Oh, and my mom got me a voice recorder thing. Now I can sleep in my classes and not miss a word!
This Saturday, will perhaps be the greatest day of my life! In the morning, I will be shooting photos for my job at Hokiesports.com. What will I be snapping pictures of you ask? Well, it turns out that since College GameDay will not be able to be at the LSU-Tenessee game because of Hurricane Rita, they decided to move it here in Blacksburg! College GameDay hasn't been to Tech since 2000, and I will be here to experience it close up! I will get to see those animals Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreet in action! So if you are gonna be in the area, you guys better get your tails to Alumni Hall (behind Squires) by 10:30 am and show our Hokie Spirit!!
Alright, well I'm tired, and I must get up at 7 am and its 2am now. Hope everyone has a great day!

Holy crap! Over two months since my last post! Well, I have been quite busy with my summer job and hanging out with you crazy kids. I will probably have a "Recap of Summer '05" post later on when I have the time and all the pictures i need. I'm getting real excited about heading back to Tech soon, as I'm sure a lot of you are to your schools. I'm just pretty much bored here at work, so I got to thinking about what Christina said about never updating my page. I guess this could cure my boredom for a little bit.
My current project is working on the 2nd annual beach video. So far, it is looking good and should be in its final stages by the time I go back to college. Mike and I have come up with some great scenes, but if only we could get the lighting right, it would be awesome.
Well, it looks like I actually have to do work now. It will be updated more later with more sweet stuff. YES!
